DevOps Engineer

Antarsia seeks a DevOps engineer to join a team who will be maintaining its production environment and/or environments belonging to its customers. The DevOps systems engineer will be working with other team members on various maintenance and development tasks in addition to being expected to help identify and resolve production issues. An ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of Linux and feel comfortable handling new challenges and learning new technologies.

Furthermore, the ideal DevOps engineer will be self-motivated, have strong verbal and written communication skills, be a true team player and will be able to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. Experience with cloud computing is required (Amazon AWS, Google Computer or Oracle Cloud). Experience with clustering or other high-availability technologies is required. Experience with virtualization is required. Programming experience with Python is required and experience with Boto in particular is highly desirable.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

•     Debug/troubleshoot problems on production systems.
•     Work with developers to implement cloud-based software as a service.
•     Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle.
•     Automation with shell scripting.
•     Contribute to documentation.
•     Implement and maintain backups. Restore backups in emergency disaster situations.
•     Modify and maintain Apache configuration: Implement and debug Apache server directives, especially Rewrite rules.
•     Various development tasks using Python
•     Research and recommend emerging technologies.
•     Work in a collaborative environment with other team members.

QUALIFICATIONS

•     Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.
•     Proficiency working with Linux systems is required.
•     Experience with cloud computing is required.
•     Experience with virtualization technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, VMware) is required.
•     Proficiency working with Apache http server configuration.
•     Proficiency with Git and GitHub workflows is required.
•     Basic working knowledge of SQL is required.
•     Experience writing Bourne shell scripts on Linux is required.    
•     Experience with Python is required.

Python Developer

Antarsia seeks a Python developer to join a team who is building an innovative decentralized application. The Python developer will be working with other team members on various development tasks in addition to being expected to help identify and resolve production issues. An ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of Python and Linux and feel comfortable handling difficult challenges while working with cutting edge technologies.

Furthermore, the ideal Python developer will be detail-oriented, self-motivated, have strong verbal and written communication skills, be a true team player and will be able to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. Experience with cloud computing is required (Amazon AWS, Google Computer or Oracle Cloud). Experience with clustering or other high-availability technologies is required.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinating with development team members to transform application requirements into code.

• Writing scalable and maintainable code.

• Writing unit tests and integration tests.

• Developing back-end components.

• Integrating user-facing elements with back-end services.

• Collaborating with UX/UI developers to implement front-end design.

• Building efficient back-end features.

• Managing testing and bug fixes.

• Writing technical documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.

• Prior experience as a Python developer.

• Experience using Boto to build applications leveraging Amazon Web Servces (AWS).

• Proficiency with Git and GitHub workflows is required.

• Experience with cloud computing is required, AWS is preferred.

• Experience with virtualization technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, VMware) is a plus.

• Experience with Python frameworks (e.g. Django, Flask, Bottle).

• Understanding of databases and SQL.

• Knowledge of JavaScript and the AngularJS framework is a plus.
